Corey's 2010 Missouri 9 Point

Corey shot this 9 point on an evening hunt. After watching this buck chase a doe for 15 minutes the doe finally came under the stand with the buck following. Made a double lung at 25 yards and the buck still went 400 yards. Does it get any better then hunting the rut.

Cootes Missouri Buck 2010

Cootes shot this 14 point this year in Missouri. After working a scrape it came in to 15 yards and he made a perfect double lung shot and watched him drop with in 40 yards. What a great buck triple split brow tine and lots of sticker point. I bet he glad he past a nice 8 point up on opening morning. Great job Cootes!

Corey's Michigan Bow Kill

Corey Shot this 11 point on a morning hunt. This buck came right in to a mock scrape made a week earlier. It was a 15 yard shot and went about 200 yards. 18 1/2" outside spread. This is Corey's biggest Michigan buck, what a great way to start the 2010 season. After passing up nice bucks the passed 2 years it finally paid off.

Turkey Hunting -2010

This was my first time turkey hunting. I think I'm hooked now. After two early mornings and two late nights in the blind, I shot this nice Tom while walking to the blind on my third night. Our food plot works again. While walking into the food plot, I noticed the turkeys were already out in the upper part. I sat tight and waited for this one to walk past. He had a 10 inch beard and 1" spurs.

Here is the 10 Point I shot Yesterday Morning. Shot him at 15 yards & he went 50 Yard. The rut is now kicking in down here. Now it time to hunt turkey, does & coyotes.

Deer Blind

This Year we decided to build an elevated box blind on our food plots so we could take our kids hunting with us. We built it 13' off the ground and made it 8'x8' so it would be big enough to move around and try to do some filming. I took Brooke on her first hunt with me in early doe season, we have a small 4 point come in right under the stand she had a great time.

First video is of a large 10 Point, Next is a nice 8. Deer Management is starting to pay off, getting lots of nice bucks on camera this year. Sorry bucks must like to move on foggy days.

We decided to add on to our food plots this year. Top pic. is the food plot we put in last year.
The next picture is of the new food plot this year. Ryan & I finished the sprinkling system today for it. The next pictures show what it looked like before, we spent lot of time cutting trees and clearing. Now it is all planted and growing. Next week we are going to build a raised 8x8 box blind to video and take the kids hunting in.

Here are a few pics. from our Missouri hunting trips. Top is Kevin Monster buck shot with Gun last season. Middle pic. is Jason bow kill buck, scored in the mid 140's. Last but not least is Cootes great 8, his biggest buck to date shot with bow, gotta love it!

Here are a few more Pictures and videos. Had the cameras out only a few weeks and have about 8 different bucks on camera so far. The buck on the upper video is the best so far, I feel it needs at least a year to grow yet. Will post more as we get them.

Trail Cam Pics-Summer '09

While we eagerly await the start of the '09 deer hunting season, we have to do something to fill that hunting void. Armed with our trail cameras, we enter the woods. Corey had his cameras out for only a few days and got some nice pics and video of a small buck and a decent one already. Buck fever is in the air in July.

'08 Hunting Season

Last year, the deer hunting season proved to be a success. Corey shot an awesome Missorri 10 point and a doe here in Michigan. I shot a nice Michigan 8 point, which is my largest buck to date. We will have to see what the 2009 deer season brings.
